James “Jimmy” Silveira is a filmmaker / photographer based in Toronto, Ontario. A young reader, he’s always had a passion for storytelling, then watching Rango & Carrie as he matured changed his entire perspective on story.

As a photographer he first experimented with the streets of Toronto. Late night walks & vibrant people who needed no direction informed his glossy, candid style.

As a filmmaker, his loud, expressive, and at times confusing style is reflective of his personality; although, he is influenced by the work of Charlie Kaufman, Spike Lee & Billy Wilder. Ultimately he aims to tell stories that connect to the human condition, as long as they’re disguised by a ambitious plot.
